The delegates condemned French colonialism and spoke about its devastating impact on the citizens of their regions.

Two days ago in New York, a UN conference took place under the sponsorship of Azerbaijan, bringing together representatives from various French overseas territories, including Guadeloupe, New Caledonia, Martinique, Saint Martin, Bonaire, Aruba, French Polynesia, and French Guiana.

Azerbaijan, which organized the event, expressed strong support for these colonies' struggle for independence from France and their demand for reparations for the colonial era.
