Bar Kuperstein, an Israeli who survived two years in Hamas captivity, was formally inducted as a volunteer emergency medical technician with United Hatzalah of Israel during the organization’s annual gala in Miami, an event that drew hundreds of supporters from South Florida’s pro-Israel philanthropic community.
Kuperstein received the Greenberg Traurig Courage Award, honoring resilience in the face of adversity.
In front of about 1,200 attendees, he announced that he would officially join United Hatzalah’s volunteer ranks, continuing a family legacy of lifesaving service.
