COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories) presented to senior political officials a recent survey conducted in Gaza in which 80% of the Strip's residents said they would like to emigrate from the Gaza Strip, according to two Israeli sources.
The results show how much the Gazan public desires migration from the Gaza Strip, at a time when Hamas refuses to hand over its weapons, as demanded by the Trump plan, which complicates any progress in rehabilitating the Strip.
In a survey conducted by COGAT, Gazans were asked what topics "they would be interested in receiving more information about for the Palestinian public."
Among the answers, nearly 80% of Gazans expressed a desire to receive information about the mechanism for residents' exit to a third country through the Rafah crossing and the Kerem Shalom crossing, 17.5% expressed interest in receiving information about the scope of food and humanitarian aid, and only about 2.5% expressed interest in receiving information about humanitarian issues in the medical field.
