Iranian-American Dr. Sheila Nazarian delivered a powerful warning to students who chant “Death to America” while enjoying freedoms denied to millions living under dictatorships.

“My family fled Iran, a country where freedom died,” Nazarian said. “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.”

She challenged activists who describe America as oppressive despite never experiencing a regime that arrests people for expressing an opinion, controls speech and crushes political dissent.
