The Muslim Brotherhood praises Syria’s new Islamist leadership and renews hostility toward Israel.
The Muslim Brotherhood issued a formal message marking the anniversary of the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime and congratulating the new Syrian leadership under Abu Muhammad al-Julani. The movement described the date as “the day the Syrians reclaimed their state and opened a new chapter of dignity after decades of injustice and tyranny.”
The message reaffirmed the Brotherhood’s support for a united Syria and rejected “any project of internal division or foreign control.” It declared full solidarity with Syrians seeking “a stable state whose people enjoy security, freedom, and justice.”
The statement also included a direct attack on Israel, saying the Brotherhood stands with Syria “in liberating every inch of its occupied land” and opposes “recurring Israeli aggression,” claiming Syrian unity is the key to “complete liberation and confronting the occupation and its ambitions.”
