An interesting headline this morning in Lebanon: "The five countries have no confidence in the Lebanese government's ability to govern and rebuild the country.."
The five countries are: The US, France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
These five countries have pledged to inject funds and resources for the reconstruction of Lebanon after the fighting, currently estimated at $12 billion.
The five countries have placed their trust in the elected Lebanese President Joseph Aoun (whose appointment they pushed for) who has pledged to "one alliance" in Lebanon (among all the sects/faction under the state institutions) which includes this important clause:
