Hezbollah-affiliated academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi said that weapons are the very essence of Hezbollah, which was founded to wage jihad, and that any attempt to disarm the terror group would lead to a bloody civil war.
Hizbullah-affiliated Lebanese academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi said in a December 31, 2025 appearance on Roula Nasr’s YouTube channel that Hizbullah was founded as a Jihad project and is meaningless without its weapons.
He added that Hizbullah today is “doing many things right under the nose of Israel and America,” and that despite American and Israeli pressure, the group continues to rebuild its organization and military capabilities.
Al-Naboulsi said that a second phase of disarmament would mean civil war in Lebanon, causing sectarian and political tensions that could topple the government, the regime, and Lebanon as a whole.
