Iran's former FM reveals in a new book new details from "Qassem Soleimani's night of revenge"

John Kerry's buddy, FM Zarif has published a new book. Here are new details on the night Iran shot ballistic missiles at US base.

A new book by the former Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, revealed the scenes of the night of the attack by the IRGC with ballistic missiles on the "Ain al-Assad" base, which houses the American forces in Iraq, on January 8, 2020, in revenge for the killing of the general Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in an American attack near the Baghdad airport five days earlier.

In a book called "The Depth of Patience", which was published a few days ago, the former Iranian Foreign Minister, who served 8 years in the position, between 2013 and 2021, emphasizes that the first decision of the Supreme National Security Council.

Regarding the nature of revenge, he came to the conclusion that "there is no rush to revenge". The most effective method is what is always done by the Lebanese Hezbollah, that is, imposing exhaustive readiness conditions on the forces of the other side [ISRAEL]," reported the newspaper "Ashrak al-Awast".

Last November, former President Trump revealed a secret, which he may not have revealed before, about the story of the killing of former Quds Force commander Soleimani, and confirmed that the Iranian regime had warned us before responding to the assassination for fear of a stronger American response.

He explained that he is announcing this story for the first time to "glorify the honor of America," given that Iran under Biden does not respect the United States.

Trump said: "They had to respond to save their honor, which is normal. Then they informed us that 18 missiles would be launched at an American base in Iraq, but they would not target it directly, but would only focus on the vicinity of the base."

Trump explained that no American soldiers were injured in the bombing, and added that he was "the only person who was not nervous" following this bombing, because he knew "Iran's intentions".

Zarif points out that the Americans received information from the Iranians hours before the attack, and adds that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the Foreign Ministry learned about the attack only a few hours after Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi learned about it.

Zarif wrote and said: "Informing the Prime Minister of Iraq was the right and proper thing to do, but what raises questions is why the President (Rouhani) and the Foreign Minister were not informed?"
