An Israeli official says an internal development in Iran is being closely tracked, with potential regional implications.
An Israeli official said on Thursday that a serious incident has been identified inside Iran, though its full consequences are still unclear.
Israel’s Channel 12 quoted the senior official as saying: “We are monitoring a serious internal event in Iran, and it is too early to determine its implications.”
According to the report, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the possibility of a “second round” of military strikes against Iran in 2026 with US President Donald Trump during a meeting on Monday. The information was provided by a senior American official and two additional US sources familiar with the meeting, who spoke to Channel 12.
