"I knew we had amazing fighters, and they proved it in a big way in these months."
From the stubborn friction with Hamas terrorists, through the destruction of 8.5 km of underground routes, to a return to professional basics - the 7th Brigade is completing another chapter in combat, this time with its mission in Rafah. The commander summarized for us the significant milestones of the armored personnel carriers in the last three months.
"In Rafah, we were required to make a change," is how Lt. Col. T., 7th Brigade, characterizes the uniqueness of the last mission in the southern Gaza Strip, where the brigade was for the past three months, "after a long period in which all we did was 'attack' - we were required to carry out a number of defensive operations, which were particularly active in nature."
The armored personnel carriers began the tour after the attack on Gaza City, and at its conclusion left the Strip with the ceasefire agreement. "The first mission that was defined for us upon our return was to secure the Yellow Line in the Rafah area. There we realized that we had a major role in shaping the operational reality in the area," says the commander.
