Both invasions were clear acts of aggression. Ukraine was attacked by a powerful neighbor that sought to seize its land by force. Israel was attacked by a terror army whose stated goal was not a border adjustment, but the destruction of the Jewish state itself.

Both countries absorbed terrible losses in the opening days. Both refused to surrender. Both chose to fight back.

But the world did not judge them the same way.
