Gallant said this was the most difficult week that Hezbollah has had since it was founded and that the results speak for themselves, in that there was a blow to its chain of command and control, as well as a blow to its morale.
Israel’s Minister of Defense Yoav Galant held an operational situation assessment at the Military Operations Division at the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) headquarters, where he spoke about the Israeli military’s recent accomplishments in fighting against Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon.
Gallant said the government determined a few weeks ago the transfer of the “center of gravity” IDF activities from the Gaza area to the northern sector. The goal, he said, is to “safely return the residents of the north to their homes.”
“The last week demonstrates well what I am talking about, in one week it can be said that [Hezbollah leader Hassan] Nasrallah remains alone at the top in many ways,” added Gallant, who mentioned the elimination of many of Hezbollah’s top commanders and the wounding of many terrorists.
