The U.S. State Department has launched a global manhunt for Ali Kasser, a top Hezbollah financier closely tied to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Through its “Rewards for Justice” program, Washington announced a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to Kasser’s capture or disruption of his networks.
Kasser, nephew of fellow Hezbollah operative Mohammad Kasser, serves as a key financial liaison between Hezbollah and the IRGC. As CEO of the front company Talaki, he has overseen oil shipping arrangements for Iran’s Quds Force, including the notorious Adrian Darya 1 tanker, and managed multimillion-dollar deals in oil and steel.
The U.S. Treasury designated him a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist” in 2019, freezing his assets and banning all dealings with him. His capture would strike a major blow at the financial backbone of Hezbollah and Iran’s proxy operations.
