Today, local sources reported that a senior officer of the Assad regime was shot to death by unknown persons in the Quneitra region, and this was in continuation of the trend of assassinations in southern Syria.
The sources said that unknown persons attacked a Syrian officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel who worked in military intelligence.
The killed officer is known to be close to the Lebanese "Hezbollah", as the area was a security warning by the Syrian army regarding the areas of Khan Arnaba and traffic on the Jabba - Khan Arnaba road.
The Office for Documenting the Violations of the local "Majmoat Ahrar Khoran" militia recorded, last September, the killing of 42 people, including a girl, in the Daraa Governorate.
