A new audio message attributed to an ISIS spokesman urges supporters to launch renewed jihad against Syria’s new leadership, as well as against the US, Russia and Jews worldwide.
After a relatively long period of quiet, the spokesman identified as Abu Hudhayfah released a new recording through Al-Furqan, the official media arm of ISIS leadership.
In the message, he calls on ISIS operatives to begin jihad against the rule of Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, describing it as a religious duty for every ISIS member. He further urges renewed attacks against what he calls “Crusaders and Jews” — referring to the US, Western countries and Israel — alongside continued jihad against Russia and other regimes fighting ISIS.
The recording signals a renewed effort by Islamic State to reassert itself regionally and internationally, at a time when Syria remains politically fragile and global attention is focused on multiple conflict zones.
