NEWSRAEL: The Netanyahu cases have been going on now for SEVEN years, and the only news we hear is how empty the claims of the prosecution are. Now this happens, and all those journalists who promised for seven years that Netanyahu took bribes are looking for a place to hide themselves in shame.
In what is running across all the news channels tonight: The judges in the Netanyahu trial in an unusual message to the parties: You will have difficulty proving bribery in case 4000 and you should come to an agreement with the defendant, Netanyahu.
Just two weeks ago, the Israel attorney General, Gali Baharav-Miara said in a clear voice she would NOT accept any "agreement" with Netanyahu and it will be difficult to explain that she didn't understand what the judges in the case were hinting to her even then.
Gali Baharav-Miara became Israel's first female attorney general in February 2022 when Gideon Sa'ar, a known bitter rival of Netanyahu who left the Likud and joined with Gantz in the elections that brought them to the coalition of Bennett-Lapid, appointed her, and one cannot but think that to this day she is doing Sa'ar's bidding.
In any case, she has made a big error in judgement and will now face a dilemma: Give in now with all the humiliation, or face even worse should Netanyahu be found innocent of all charges.
