The US is moving its most advanced electronic warfare aircraft, the EA-37B Compass Call, toward the Middle East as tensions with Iran continue to escalate.
Two of the aircraft have already arrived in the UK, marking their first-ever operational deployment and signaling a shift from testing to real-world combat readiness.
These aircraft are not traditional strike platforms—they are designed to dominate the battlefield electronically. The EA-37B can disrupt enemy communications, radar systems, GPS signals, and command networks from long distances, effectively “blinding” air defenses such as Iran’s S-300 systems while also providing intelligence and surveillance capabilities.
The deployment represents a major leap in capability compared to older systems. Flying at over 40,000 feet and at significantly higher speeds than its predecessor, the EA-37B can cover larger operational areas while staying outside immediate threat zones. Its ability to paralyze enemy command-and-control systems creates confusion across the battlefield, weakening coordinated responses.
