The UAE ambassador to the US said that his country will include the Holocaust of the Jews at the hands of the Nazis in Germany in the curricula of schools in the UAE.
The Embassy of the Emirates has confirmed that the study of the "Holocaust" will be included in the curricula in the elementary and high schools.
She stated that the study of the Holocaust is necessary for the understanding of humanity.
The "Times of Israel" newspaper reported that the United Arab Emirates is moving to position itself as a regional peacekeeper, and is deciding to fully include the Holocaust in its curricula, after its absence from educational materials for children, and Israel being ignored on world maps.
The newspaper added: "After the signing of the Abraham 2020 agreements, and the normalization of relations between the United Arab Emirates and Israel, the United Arab Emirates is taking great steps to combat the regional culture of Holocaust denial."
