The story of Joop Westerweel

This week marks exacty 77 years since Righteous Among the Nations Joop Westerweel was executed.
Not only did he hide Jews, he also led a group that found ways to help Jews escape from The Netherlands during the Holocaust.
In 1944, he was caught by the Nazis at the Belgian Border while trying to help two Jewish women escape. He was later deported and murdered Vught concentration camp.
