IDF forces from the Duvdevan unit, Shin Bet, and Border Guard fighters, operated in recent hours under Shin Bet direction in Qabtia and Jenin in the Menashe Brigade as part of the operation to thwart terrorism in northern Samaria.
The YAMAM fighters encountered several armed terrorists who had barricaded themselves in a building in Jenin, and after an exchange of fire, they killed two of the terrorists and wounded another terrorist.
Ten additional terrorists were arrested by the forces, including terrorist Liwa Jaaz, a senior member of the terrorist infrastructure in the Jenin area. Fighters from the Duvdevan unit operating in Jenin eliminated a terrorist who opened fire on them. In addition, security forces located two vehicles in Jenin that contained weapons and were intended to be used to carry out attacks and destroyed them.
The terrorists who were arrested and the confiscated weapons were transferred to the security forces for further processing.
There were no casualties among our forces.
