Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House today for a pivotal meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump.ย
At the start of their meeting, Trump warmly greeted Netanyahu, saying: "We are thrilled to see you at the White House. Thank you for coming. There's a lot of work ahead, but the results have been good."
In a symbolic gesture, Netanyahu presented Trump with a letter recommending him for the Nobel Peace Prize.
During the joint press event, Netanyahu was asked about the possibility of a transfer plan for Gazans. He replied: "President Trump has a vision called 'free choice.' If they want to stay, they can stay. But if they want to leave — it's not a prison. We're working closely with the U.S. to find countries willing to offer the Palestinians a better future."
