ICYMI: Shockwaves in Britain: UK local elections reshape political map
The final results of the UK local elections are now in — and British and even European politics may never look the same again.
The biggest winner was Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage, which achieved a political earthquake across England by taking control of multiple councils and making enormous gains at the expense of both Labour and the Conservatives.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer suffered one of the worst electoral setbacks for Labour in years, with the party losing hundreds of seats and key strongholds across England, Wales, and Scotland.
The Conservative Party also suffered major losses, highlighting growing public frustration with Britain’s traditional political establishment.
