Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood leader Tareq Al-Suwaidan — Banned in the U.S. for terror links — to Muslim youth in the West: This is your country; use your citizenship to advance the islamic nation
Kuwaiti Islamic scholar and Muslim Brotherhood leader Dr. Tareq Al-Suwaidan discussed Muslim activism in the West in an episode of The Thinking Muslim podcast. He praised the current generation of Muslim youth in the West, saying they are the best generation of Muslim youth he has seen in his many years involved in da’wah.
He explained that they possess both a high standard of Islamic knowledge and adherence, as well as the professional abilities they have gained from living in the West.
Al-Suwaidan stated that they do not carry the same inferiority complex as the first generation of migrants, and that they must use their citizenship to advance the Islamic nation. Addressing Muslim youth in the West, he said: “This is your country, and you should pressure your politicians to change their stance, and you should make them fall down in elections if they don’t. You don’t have this fear the migrants had, so use it.”
