Sirens and explosions were reported across Bahrain as Iran launched a retaliatory attack following major US strikes on Iranian military targets.
Air-raid sirens sounded in Bahrain early Wednesday amid reports of explosions and incoming Iranian drones. Iranian sources claimed ballistic missiles and suicide drones were launched toward American military installations in the kingdom.
Bahrain hosts the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet, making it a central target in previous Iranian attacks. The latest assault follows US strikes on more than 80 Iranian military targets near the Strait of Hormuz. There were no immediate confirmed reports of casualties or damage.
