Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid, the ruler of Dubai and prime minister of the Emirates, today announced the death of Majid al-Putimi, one of the country's most prominent businessmen.

Al-Putim began his career as a simple bank clerk and ended his life as the founder and head of a holding empire of holdings in the Middle East. The fortunes of El Putim as well as his age are unknown. It is estimated to leave behind $ 4 billion to $ 6 billion.

One of the well-known projects that El Putim has set up is the “Emirates Mall”, the most famous shopping center in Dubai.
