Search company Elastic, developer of Elasticsearch and Elastic Stack, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Israel's build.security, which built a platform for definition and enforcement of information security policies based on the open source standard Open Policy Agent (OPA) that enables organizations to enforce security policies for cloud native environments.
Elastic built the industry’s only free and open Limitless Extended Detection and Response (XDR), which unifies the capabilities of security information and event management (SIEM) with the capability to protect endpoints such as servers and personal computers, including in the cloud, all in a single platform.
build.security is headquartered in Tel Aviv. The company's team will be the foundation for the expansion of Elastic's presence in Israel, and Amit Kanfer, co-founder and CEO of build.security, will serve as manager of Elastic's site in Israel. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
