Israeli NGO IsraAID is also planning to send an emergency response team to support communities affected by the fires.
A volunteer Israeli search-and-rescue organization offered its assistance in dealing with the devastating wildfires raging in California.
“In light of the extensive experience we have gained in managing complex disaster sites, we offer our assistance in firefighting efforts through professionally trained and highly experienced volunteers who can make a significant contribution to combating the flames,” read the message to Los Angeles authorities from Haim Weingarten, ZAKA deputy director of operations, on Monday.
He highlighted his organization’s South African teams, which are practiced in responding to fires.
