Social media videos show tribal forces, some of whom may be official Syrian forces who shed their uniforms, yelling "Allah Akbar" on their way to attack the Druze
Syrian tribal forces, as well as some official Syrian soldiers who openly shed their uniforms, are once again headed to Suwayda with the aim of attacking the Druze in southern Syria, despite efforts to reach a ceasefire yesterday.
Syrian security forces are preparing to redeploy to the Druze-majority Sweida city to quell fighting by the Druze and Bedouin tribes, the Syrian interior ministry spokesperson said on Friday.
Israel has said it warned the Syrian government to withdraw from the south and that it would not allow the Islamist rulers to build up on its borders.
