Few days ago, American companies signed a contract with Kurdish companies from northern Iraq to supply Iraqi or Kurdish gas and oil from Kurdistan of Iraq to other markets, maybe American market and European market.

Of course, the government of Baghdad, Iraq, opposes it because it actually enhances the economy of the Kurdish district, which is officially part of Iraq.
Yet the Kurds want autonomy, if not all the way independence.
