In a joint operation by the Shin Bet and IDF, Muhammad Ahmed Yousef Al-Jamal, a terrorist from the Hamas terrorist organization who killed the late YAMAM officer and fighter Arnon Zmora, was eliminated during "Operation Arnon" to rescue hostages, which was conducted on June 8, 2024.
During the operation, YAMAM and Shin Bet fighters rescued the four Israeli hostages Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrei Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv, who were being held in the Nusseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip by the Hamas terrorist organization.
Muhammad al-Jamal is the terrorist who killed the late Arnon Zamora during the force's break-in at one of the buildings where the hostages were being held. Al-Jamal was also one of the guards who held the hostages who were released during "Operation Arnon."
