Amjad Taha, a prominent Arab commentator, sharply criticized Western governments for allowing Muslim Brotherhood-linked organizations to operate freely while Arab states such as the UAE have already outlawed them and dismantled their financial networks.
Taha stressed that countries like Britain and Australia are giving legitimacy to groups that fuel terrorism across the region, from Hamas in Gaza to Islamist forces in Sudan responsible for mass atrocities. He warned that organizations such as “Islamic Relief” serve as financial lifelines for jihadist groups, spreading the same violent ideology that led to the October 7 massacre.
According to Taha, the contrast is stark: while the UAE bans the Muslim Brotherhood and blocks terror financing, Western nations are opening their doors, granting charity status, and even participating in ribbon-cutting ceremonies for entities that, in his words, “pump war, antisemitism and genocide” wherever they operate.
He emphasized that in the Emirates, terrorism receives no tolerance — only justice, prison, or rehabilitation — and never permission.
