WATCH: Rubio, Huckabee attend historic opening of the Pilgrimage Road in Jerusalem

The Pilgrimage Road, once used by Jewish pilgrims to reach Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, has been reopened as a symbolic reminder that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people

Ambassador Mike Huckabee said: Incredible event at the City of David with the Israeli Prime Minister and Secretary Rubio, as we were first in 2000 years to go from pilgrimage road to Temple Mount.

Secretary Rubio said at the event: All empires are gone - but one people remain.

In a historic milestone bridging ancient heritage with modern meaning, the complete length of Jerusalem’s Pilgrimage Road has been revealed for the first time in two millennia.
