The Ministry of Labor has updated financial benefits for reserve service members in subsidizing daycare and family centers.
Following the directive of the Minister of Labor, Yoav Ben-Zur, and the decision of the Ministers of Labor and Finance, the Ministry of Labor is currently providing additional subsidies to the families of reserve service members.
The benefit is being updated for 9,000 reserve soldiers, who are parents eligible for daycare subsidies, who served at least 60 days in the reserve in 2024.
Reserve soldiers who received the reserve benefits will be entitled to a higher subsidy level than they were originally entitled to, due to the recognition of their work and will even be entitled to the benefit in advance of registering for daycare for the year 2016. The additional subsidy for reserve families is on average an additional NIS 250 per month and NIS 3,000 in the current school year, in addition to the subsidy to which they are entitled annually.
