Hezbollah threatens civil war in Lebanon
YONI BEN MENACHEM -- Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem in speech to the Lebanese government: "Either the country remains and we remain together or the story ends. The responsibility is yours."
In a strong speech today, Sheikh Naim Qassem declared that the organization will not surrender its weapons as long as "aggression and occupation continue." This is a "very dangerous decision" that could lead the country into crisis and even civil war.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem's threat of civil war. Salam said it was an "unacceptable threat."
