There are many heroes in Israel from the last 2 years of intensive warfare. Many of them have not been recognized.
As long as negotiations were ongoing, I refrained from writing this, so as not to be suspected of currying favor with potential sources:
Gal Hirsch deserves one of the greatest thanks from the people of Israel and from the families of the captives, for countless hours of superhuman efforts, exceptional care, and humanity – all this despite the malicious and terrible slanders he endured repeatedly with dignity.
