Attempts to develop an electric vehicle did not pass over the Gulf states. Startup Omani plans to start production of its vehicle towards the end of 2023. "Mace Motors" announced the planned vehicle during Expo 2020 which is currently being held in Dubai after signing an agreement with the "Omani Technology Foundation".
According to Mace founder Haider a-Zaabi, experts from Tesla, Porsche and BMW have already expressed interest in the design of the vehicle. The vehicle, which will have two seats, will be able to travel more than 500 km after being charged. The vehicle will be made of carbon fiber. According to a-Zaabi, the vehicle will use technologies developed by Lamborghini and Ferrari.
He estimated that over five years, Mace would produce about 600 vehicles.
