BREAKING - VIDEO: JNIM in a HUGE ambush on the Burkina Faso army
A convoy of 150 vehicles was attacked by al-Qaeda JNIM on its way to Fada village from the Bongo gold mine on August 9. Reports of more than 160 dead soldiers from Burkina Faso.
The al-Qaeda-linked group, Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin, forced the national army to retreat as the terrorists stole weapons, trucks, and armored vehicles.
The country's Ministry of Defense announced a retaliatory strike using a Bayraktar TB2 drone on groups of Al-Qaeda militants who took equipment seized from the scene of the incident. According to them, 50 militants were killed as a result of these raids.
Regarding the number of dead, there is probably an exaggeration on both sides.
