The US military has recently been operating in increased cooperation with the IDF and other armies of Arab countries in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, in a long and ongoing fight against the growing threat from Iran.
Just this week, the American Navy in the Persian Gulf announced the foiling of an Iranian attempt to seize control of an unmanned American vessel - a move that was successfully foiled in the end.
The US Navy operates a network of many drones, which at this stage are mainly used for espionage and intelligence operations throughout the Red Sea and the Gulf. The drones are equipped with cameras, radar and other sensors.
Senior officers reveal that unmanned vessels and aircraft provide a new dimension and a better angle within the framework of military activity in the region.
