An Israeli Air Force drone reportedly targeted a vehicle in the Shiite village of Kfar Tebnit, also known as Tabnit, in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh district.
Lebanese reports said there were casualties, but their number and the identity of the target have not yet been confirmed. The IDF has not yet issued an official statement concerning the strike.
The attack could become the first significant test of the emerging Trump-brokered memorandum of understanding with Iran, which is reportedly intended to halt military operations across the region—including the fighting in Lebanon.
However, the agreement’s exact terms, implementation timetable and enforcement mechanism have not yet been publicly clarified. Israel is unlikely to accept any arrangement that prevents it from acting against an immediate Hezbollah threat while leaving the terrorist organization armed and operational.
