The Gaza-based terror organization “Resistance Committees” claims that one of its commanders, Wasim Abd al-Hadi, 22, was killed this morning by what they describe as a “special Zionist force” in central Gaza.
According to their statement, he was shot near the “Shumer” factory on the Salah al-Din road, close to the Al-Maghazi camp. The group’s military wing published an official notice identifying him as a field commander.
Different versions circulating in Gaza allege that the operation was either carried out by an Israeli force or by a Palestinian militia working on behalf of Israeli forces. Abd al-Hadi was a senior operative in “Akhfad al-Nasser,” the armed wing responsible for terror actions along the Israel–Gaza border during the violent March of Return riots in 2018–2019. This kind of activity emerging publicly after the ceasefire is considered notable.
NEWSRAEL: WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT
This report highlights continued pressure on terror factions inside Gaza even after the ceasefire, exposing the internal confusion and fear within these groups. The targeting of a commander involved in past cross-border terror attempts underscores Israel’s ongoing ability to strike key operatives deep inside the enclave.
