Private sources confirmed to the Syrian news website - "Ether Press" that the drone that crashed near the village of "Al-Fade'mi", in the southern countryside of the Al-Hasqa Governorate, was on its way to attack an American base in the city of Al-Shadadi, and that it fell as a result of a technical fault.
The sources stated that the UAV was manufactured in a primitive manner, and was loaded with several bombs, and while the residents of the village informed the "Syrian Democratic Forces - SDF" (the Kurdish militias) that the UAV fell in agricultural areas belonging to the village, the latter informed the American forces, who blocked the the area and scanned it before moving the UAV into the base set up near the gas plant, south of the city of Elshdadi.
This is the first time that an attempt has been made to attack, using a drone, a US military base located in the eastern region of Syria.
