'Trump Euphoria' in the US financial markets
Against the background of Donald Trump's intended return to the White House, risk assets recorded the most positive negative day after election day, with new highs and sharp gains.
The S&P 500 index rose 2.5%, the Nasdaq index jumped about 3%, the Dow Jones index (Trump's favorite) jumped 3.6%, and the Russell 2000 index rose 5.8% in one of the most positive days in modern stock market history.
The appetite for risk saw a significant increase yesterday, when investors showed their faith in an economic boom with a decrease in risk.
In the picture from FINVIZ, you can see how broad yesterday's gains were and were not focused on just one sector or a few significant stocks.
