Austin Community College Professor Roy Casagranda: The U.S. Wanted the Holocaust to Be “as Bad as Possible” to Justify the Creation of Israel; “They Just Wanted More Jews to Die”
Austin Community College professor of political science Dr. Roy Casagranda claimed in an October 2, 2025 episode of the Iדךשצןדא Bidon Waraq podcast that the United States “wanted to make sure that the Holocaust was as bad as possible” in order to ensure there was enough international support for the creation of the State of Israel.
He added: “They just wanted more Jews to die.” Casagranda said that there were Jewish Zionists who were part of this strategy, including Israel’s first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, who wanted to bring American Jews to Israel.
He said that “to believe that Zionism made sense, you had to buy the antisemitic argument that there was no place for Jews in Europe and in the United States,” adding that Zionism is an “extension” of antisemitism.
