Motti Kastle from Channel 14 explains what is going on with the latest political "Lawfare" challenge to himself and the government.ย
BACKGROUND: Two of PM Netanyahu's advisors, Yonatan Urich and Eli Feldstein were arrested this afternoon and Netanyahu was ordered by the Gov AG to give testimony to the police. The two were arrest in what is being called in the Israeli media "Qatargate" and it is said that they are suspected of taking money from Qatar. After Netanyahu's testimony, he released a harsh video saying that the police have no evidence against the two at all and that this is a political move to harass the government and himself.
Mottis Kastle:
Similar to the determined line Netanyahu is leading in firing the Shin Bet chief and the attorney general, and in contrast to the moderate, state-led line at the beginning of the 2016 scandal, when it took the prime minister some time to directly and frontally accuse the investigators.
