German federal prosecutors have filed charges against two men accused of plotting to murder Jews in Germany on behalf of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The main suspect, a Danish citizen identified under German privacy rules as Ali S., is accused of working for the intelligence arm of the IRGC and maintaining contact with the Quds Force, the Iranian unit responsible for overseas terror operations.
He has been charged with espionage, sabotage-related espionage, attempted participation in murder and arson.
According to the indictment, Ali S. was tasked with gathering information on prominent Jewish figures in Germany, including Jewish community leaders, Jewish business owners and company managers. Prosecutors say the intelligence was not collected for “monitoring” or “pressure,” but to prepare murder and arson attacks.
