42 People Were Killed in Road Accidents May 2024

In May 2024 in Israel, there were 1,070 casualties caused in a total of 631 road accidents that occurred throughout the country.

Out of these, 42 people were killed in a total of 39 fatal accidents, according to the data released by Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

In May 2024, there were 13 more deaths compared to May 2023 (42 compared to 29) and 11 more compared to the May monthly average in in the years 2020-2022.

There was a 25.7% decrease in the number of seriously injured compared to May 2023 (179 compared to 241) and a decrease of 21.1% compared to the May monthly average in 2020-2022.
