A shoulder-fired missile launcher, four weapons, magazines, ammunition and drugs were seized in recent days in activities carried out by Israeli Police of the Southern District in the Bedouin-Arab city of Rahat, and the community of Kuseife.
The activities were part of “Operation Emergency Containment,” under the instructions of Police Commissioner Danny Levy, intended to crack down on organized an violent crime in Israel.
The operation focuses on violent conflicts between different factions, which cause violent incidents and harm to human life, and has the object of preventing escalation alongside severe harm to criminal instigators. As part of Operation Emergency Containment, police forces began to increase their activity against criminal elements and severely damage economic infrastructure.
Meanwhile, in an operational activity initiated by Dimona police officers and Border Police fighters, three Carlo weapons, an M16 and a Jericho pistol were seized in Bedouin communities. In addition, magazines, weapon accessories, ammunition and drugs of various types were seized.
