VIDEO REPORT: NATO mulls Israel-like security deal for Ukraine - will this deter Russia?
With Ukraine ‘a long way’ from becoming a NATO member, the West plans to offer Kyiv a security model to guarantee the country’s sovereign future. As per a Wall Street Journal report, the security model is extremely similar to what Washington has offered to Israel.

Poland’s President Andrzej Duda told the WSJ that the discussions on the security guarantees for Ukraine “are ongoing right now.”
According to the WSJ, the Israeli-type security agreement for Ukraine will be different from NATO membership, which might be years away.
NEWSRAEL: Israel has never asked to become part of NATO. Anything less than full membership will not deter Russia from Ukraine.
