The delegation included Defense Minister Israel Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and Shin Bet head David Zini
An Israeli delegation led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Israel Defense Forces-controlled security zone in southern Syria on Wednesday, according to widespread Hebrew media reports.
The high-level delegation reportedly also included Defense Minister Israel Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) director David Zini.
During the visit, which local media said led to the cancellation of Netanyahu’s testimony in his corruption trial on Wednesday, the officials were reportedly briefed on regional developments.
