After six months of fighting in Gaza, he went up with his comrades to fight in Lebanon.

One day, the force was ambushed by Hezbollah terrorists, and many were injured in that incident.

During an operation to recover the bodies of the fallen, Sagi was seriously injured by a grenade thrown by a terrorist.

Sagi received shrapnel in his eyes and neck that reached his carotid artery. By a great miracle, he survived.
